Apple's goal is to offer a new platform for content creators to reinvent books, magazines and online content, in addition to offering a new avenue for content producers to make money. That platform is likely to be far broader than just a tablet device, and will extend to every device or computer that iTunes touches.

Man Dies After Watching Avatar
This story about a man that died after going to see Avatar. According to the original story the man’s doctor blames James Cameron’s movie for triggering the stroke. The fact that the poor fellow had a long history of hypertension seems to further buried in the story. I’m even more afraid of going to see this film now.
A 42-year-old Taiwanese man died of a stroke, which his doctor claims was likely triggered by “over-excitement” from watching James Cameron’s Avatar in 3D. According to News.com.au, the man began to feel sick during a screening earlier this month and was taken to hospital.

Pointless news about “pointless” Twitter
An utterly rubbish story about someone refraining from using Twitter. What is the world coming to?
Ricky Gervais has quit Twitter, branding the site “pointless” and the adults who use it “undignified”.
Leaving the microblogging site after less than a month of tweeting, he complained that celebrities used it for “showing off” and he did not need to make “new virtual friends”

They review trailers these days?
"Fans of a certain age will celebrate the transfer of this 80s TV favourite to the multiplex, but Anna Pickard can't help but suspect it's all just an excuse to trot out that well-loved theme tune"
