Just who do you think you are? - Well I think that I am becoming Marc A. Price the photographer. Although, I have found that the art of becoming is a difficult process. I was once Marc Price (the “A.” was silent in those days) the musician. Then I became Marc Price the student. Then I became Marc A. Price the graduate. I was also Marc A. Price the writer for a while.
What does that mean in English? – Really you have no soul! It means that I left school in 1984 with no qualifications or ambition. After a lifetime managing various HMV stores around the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man (shudder) I quit my job and went back to school at the Peterborough Regional College. After which I spent four years doing a degree in American Studies at the University of Sussex in Brighton, I spent a year of this study at the University of Texas, Austin… (yee haw). I graduated with honours July 2002. Graduated from the University of Sussex again, this time with a Master’s Degree in Contemporary History in 2004. I am now vindicated. According to the pieces of paper in my possession I am currently officially clever. A bit like Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz (the book not the film).
