Matt Smith

So finally the wait is over. After much speculation the actor playing the mysterious Time Lord known only as The Doctor in the BBC hit show Doctor Who is Matt Smith. Who?

That was such a painful wait. It is not really possible to judge him based on his earlier work but I have every faith in Mr Moffat that he has made the right choice. To be fair the real test will be how good the scripts are and how good the direction is when production actually starts. With a new show runner, new producer, and a new lead actor there is everything to play for. Also, let’s not forget that a new companion also needs to be cast… Sally Sparrow anyone?

But wait… David Tennant is still the main man until at least this time next year. There are still quite some exciting adventures to come our way before Mr Smith takes over the role.
